The modern classroom isn’t very much different from what it looked like several years back. At the middle would be the teacher, or course, doing things teachers do which is teaching. You’d still spot students listening intently, those that are trying hard not to fall asleep, and those that are just waiting for the bell to ring the song of home. The way the classroom is set up today stood the test of time, except perhaps for one minor detail. In lieu of books on the table, you might spot a tablet or two, and sitting prettily atop the teacher’s table could be a laptop and a projector to give the students something to look out.
According to Market Watch, a global report predicts that by the year our calendar hits 2020, Education Technology is expected to have spent $252 billion. So if the world is ready to spend that much, EdTech better hold a lot of promise. – Mayvilyn Aguilar
